1.- Document (power of attorney/authorization) has to be signed in front of a Notary Public. Documents signed in front of a Commissioner of Oaths will not be accepted.
2.- Obtain an authentication from:

3.- Send the document to the Consulate General of Chile in Vancouver to be legalized. Please include payment (money order) of US$ 12 per document, payable to the Consulate General of Chile and an EXPRESSPOST envelope, for sending it back to your address. You can also send us a prepaid "PRIORITY COURIER" envelope. These envelopes can be purchased at any Canada Post office. It is also possible to pickup the documents in person, either by the interested party or by a duly authorized representative (authorization in writing).
Please note that the Consulate GENERAL does NOT send documents by courier, except by PRIORITY COURIER (purchase a prepaid envelope at any Canada Post office).
BRITISH COLUMBIA

After obtaining the documents (certificate of good standing, certificate of status, etc.) from the Corporate Registry, please mail them to the Consulate General, include a money order of US$ 12 per document and provide an XPRESSPOST envelope. We will return your legalized document within 2 business days.

LEGALIZATION OF DIPLOMAS AND CERTIFICATES ISSUED BY SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
These documents must be legalized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, 125 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0G2, Phones: (613) 995-0119 and (613) 992-6602.
Once legalized by the Department of Foreign Affairs they mustbe legalized by the Consulate General of Chile in Vancouver.
The cost of legalizing each document is US$ 12.
Residents in our jurisdiction (Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut) may submit documents for legalization according to the following procedure:
